Q.

Diarrhoea

Hi Professor,

My 2 year old son has had diarrhoea on and off for about a week now. I am giving him 1 x Probiflora tablet daily, 5mls of Kaostatex after each loose stool, about every 2nd day and have stopped all dairy products.

Is there something else I should do or give him. He is otherwise sleeping and eating well.

Thank you.

It is essential to replace lost fluid and body salts due to your son's diarrhoea.Give him frequent sips of Rehidrat solution. If his diarrhoea persists for more than another 24 hours he should be seen by a doctor.
