Your baby has what is called 'chronic diarrhoea'. Special tests, investigations and treatment are rquired. It is very important to try to find the cause of his chronic diarrhoea which is causing significant problems. In fact I am very concerned about your baby who is underweight and is failing to thrive. He must be seen by a specialist preferably a paediatric gastroenterologist ASAP.
