Good morning Doc

My son is a 5 months premature and is been having a diarrhea for about a week now and I took him to the doctor and he gave him medication but it''s not helping. He is been on Novalac AC for more than a month now and he was doing very well until diarrhea started and his doctor said he is not teething and he is not in pain it just that we change pampers like every hour and am worried he might lose weight and water, pls advise.
I was thinking of buying Novalac for diarrhea.

With your baby being so premature it is probably necessary for him to be on a special formula such as an Abbotts Preterm formula.Another possibility is that he may have developed a severe lactose intolerance while on the Novalac AC formula. You really need expert advice and I strongly recommned that your consult your nearest baby clinic for advice.
