Q.

Diaper changes a nightmare

Hi,

My son is 14 months old and I cant get him to lie still to change a pooh or wet diaper. It' s been like this since he discovered he could move his little body. I cant change him at home, in a mall or anywhere. No toys, or anything works. He cries actual tears and I cant see that I' m hurting him or what I can do to occupy him. Is there anything I can do, ' cos I' m near tears.

Thank You

Whith my oldest son this was also a problem...I ended up putting his daiper on while he was standing or crawling!!! What worked for me in a mall was to change his nappy on the floor because I realized that he was afraid of the hight of the table, he was afraid he could fall..I don' t know if you change his nappy on the bed, but try and see if the area where you change it might make him feel insecure or unsafe...Good luck! This will also pass...I keep on reminding me that I must just be so greatfull that my son is ok and able to move!
