Q.

Deselex: refer 582

Sorry Dr forgot to also ask you - you seem to prefer the Alecet/ Zyrtec rather than the Deselex? Is the Deselex not as good? Also the pharmacist said i can give her ( 2y10m) 2.5 in morning and then 2ml in evening - is this ok?

I do like Deselex for young children where there is a definite allergic condition such as allergic rhinitis. It seems to have the least drowsy causing side effects in children of all of the antihistamines. Zyrtec and its generic Allecet are probably slightly more effective as an antihistamine.
