DAUGHTER (6) PASSED OUT

My daughter 6 passed out in church yesterday. She had breakfast and was even eating supper C’ s before she passed out. She stood up and told me she wants to go to the bathroom and when I looked at her she fell. Her eyes were rolling, but she was only out for a few seconds. Afterwards she complained that her stomach hurt, she was nauseous but after about 15 minutes she was fine. Later yesterday and this morning she is complaining of headaches. What can it be?

Paediatrician

It is difficult for me to be sure about the cause of your daughter's symptoms without being able to examine her. She may simply have fainted while in the church but of concern is the fact that her eyes were rolling at the time. Now she is complaining about a headache. It is important to exclude important causes of headache and/or a possible fit in children such as meningitis or epilepsy. Please ask your paediatrician to see your daughter.

How scary. Best to take her to the doctor. It could be migraine (in young children they don''t always have an aura beforehand and they can get a stomach ache instead of a head ache). It could be low blood pressure. It could just have been the heat.
Best to check it out though.

Take her to your Doc for a check up. Could be anything.
