These dark rings under the lower eyelids are commonly found in allergic children and are known as 'allergic shiners' The most common cause is due to nasal allergies such as hayfever. If her allergy is well controlled the shiners will disappear.

Hi,

I have been told that it is due to anaemia. Your daughter will have to go for a blood test to check it out.
