Crying Wolf or serious

Hi my son is 4 years old and he never had a eating problem but lately he will find a way not to sit down and eat his food.. I thought maybe it is the odd sweet here or there so I limit his sugar intake to once a week.. screaming everyday for it but I don’ t want to give in.

Other thing that concerns me is that he will make up things like " I have sore tummy"  then he will tell me he wants to go to the toilet everything works still fine with the tummy then next day it is a headache and then again the tummy or my leg or this .. It makes it really difficult for me to know what exactly is wrong with him and I don’ t want to give medicine anymore (he loves medicine) I just refuse. I am however going to take him to a ped just to make sure he is ok from head to toe why would he cry wolf so much..

Something is worrying your son. His complaints suggest that he is unhappy about something. Is he being bullied at school or is he unhappy at school? His complaints change by the day and do not follow any pattern that suggests that he has an actual medical problem. Once the paediatrician has seen him and hopefully all is well, then you should have a good talk with him and try to find out whether something is worrying him. If his complaints continue he may benefit from seeing a child psychologist.
