Crying Baby Before Sleep

Good Day,
Our baby girl is 5 months old, born a month prematurely. We are concerned because she cries PERFUSELY every time she gets tired and needs to sleep. Instead of falling asleep, she cries as if she is in pain - after 20 minutes of crying she eventually falls asleep and is easily woken up by the smallest noise.

Does this indicate some type of abnormality?

Your daughter may be having a problem which is causing her some pain such as colic or acid reflux. Many times babies may cry for a short while before falling asleep but it is really excessive for her to cry for 20 minutes each time. Please ask your paediatrician to see her just to be sure that all is well.

My baby does the same. I would be interested to hear what the doc says.
