A good question which will be helpful to many other parents on this forum.Croup is almost always caused by a virus infection so antibiotics are not required. The best treatment for croup is simply to nebulise your baby with the Pulmicort and Duolin. Betanoid is a powerful and long-acting cortisone and there is no need for this as you are nebulising with Pulmicort [which is a cortisone for nebulising] already.Flusin C contains pseudoephedrine and is not permitted for children under 2 years of age, it also contains a sedating antihistamine.Adco-Linctopent contains orciprenaline which will stimulate your baby and make it difficult for him to sleep. In any case it is used to treat coughing in older children and is not for croup. So all you need to do is to use the Pulmicort and Duolin.Do not give Alcophyllex either.
