Q.

Creche

Good day doctor, I just put my 3year 7 month CP girl in a cresche on Monday 04 June 2012 and already she has a snotty &  blocked nose. She is on Zinplex Junior 10ml daily. There were other kids aswell with runny noses. How can one prevent this? How better can I boost her immune. As my pediatrician said there is no need to use Creche Guard the Zinplex is sufficient. And what do you do in a case like this give her medicine on just let the body run it''s cource?
Thank you for your response.

Your little girl is particularly vulnerable to the many infections she will be exposed to at the creche. She has also started in the winter months when this problem is at its worst. Zinplex is an excellent immune booster but will not be enough to protect her. Rather try Scotts emulsion which has a high Vitamin A content and should protect her better against virus infections. If she continues to get sick often it would be best to take her out of the creche environment.
