Dear prof

Hope this msg finds you well. My 2 yrs old Son started creche for the 1st time on Monday. He is not settled in as yet, he cries when I drop him off. The teacher told me yesterday that he doesnt want to work when she tell him to do colouring or cutting, how can I encourage him to participate in class.

Another question, they told me that he attached himself to one of the ladies who work there, I think he takes her as his Nanny, will this be bad in the long run - how can this be handled?

Many thanks and regards

Thank you. This is a very common problem. Your son is going through a period of separation anxiety. He will soon settle down especially once he has made friends with some of the other children. In the meantime he has found a special nanny. This will only do him good,so do not be concerned.
