Q.

Crawling important?

Our baby girl is almost 10 months old and is not crawling yet. She has never liked playing or lying on her tummy and cries whenever we put her on her tummy. I have read and heard that it is important for a child' s brain development that babies need to crawl. She has always been more interested in standing (from about 5 months). Can you give us some advice - how do we encourage her to crawl?

Many babies do not crawl at all anD simply start walking when they are ready. There is no need for any concern on your part. Crawling does not affect a baby's brain development so you do not need to worry about this.
