Q.

Crawling

Dear Doc

My 9 month old baby has always hated being on his tummy. He has up until now cried when I put him on his tummy for a few minutes.

Lately she has been a bit more at ease on her tummy for a few minutes a day, and yesterday made a few movements backwards.

Is it normal to start crawling backwards? How often should I put him on his tummy?

Thank you

This is perfectly normal. Most babies do not start crawling until they are about 10 months old.You do not need to put your baby on her tummy specially, she will learn to do this by herself.
