crawling

my daughter is 9 months old and not crawling yet.
she does not like it when i put her on her stomach and kicks up a fuss until i pick her up. is this a problem? what can i do to try and encourage her?

Many babies do not crawl at all but eventually start walking when they are about 1year to 13 months old. In any case the average age for babies to start crawling is 10 months. There is no need for concern and you should not try to encourage your baby to crawl other than by making a game of it.
