Q.

Cramps

Dear Dr,

Thank you so much for your previous advice re strange cramps in my LO (post 768). I paid careful attention, and the culprit is most definitely Nan2. I changed her over 1 bottle per day for 4 - 5 days, and then a 2nd bottle for 4 - 5 days. Now that all her bottles is Nan2, she is constantly cramping, extremely windy and very uncomfortable. Almost like she has colic at 6.5 months! I am not sure if I should just leave it and hope that it passes or change formulas? She had absolutely no side effects from the Nan1. Except for the difference in the amounts of Vitamins the only real difference I noticed was that the protein in Nan 2 is twice as much as Nan 1. Is this the problem? Which other formulas should I try?

Thank you so much for your advice. I really do apreciate it!
Kind Regards,
Daisy

Thanks for your kind words. It is a pleasure to be able to assist you. You have been very observant and it could well be the increase in milk protein that is now causing these symptoms in your baby. She may either have lactose intolerance or cow's milk protein intolerance. Try her on NAN LF first and see if she improves. If not then try her on NAN HA2 and see if she improves.
