Q.

Cow`s milk vs powder milk

I was wondering why its so " wrong"  today to give a baby cow`s milk when a couple of decades ago it was the only thing available for baby`s to drink when their mothers couldnt breastfeed?Or goats milk for that matter.Practically all our parents and grandparents and you Prof aswell (?)grew up on it?Why is it just" no you cant give your baby cow`s milk"  before the age of 1?

Things have moved on a great deal since the 'old days' Cow's milk is ideal for calves not for human babies.Cow's milk is nutritionally and in all its constituents very different to human breast milk and is unsuitable for human infants. The same applies to goat's milk which is also dangerously deficient in folic acid and can lead to a serious form of anaemia.
