Could this be a haematuria?

My 9 year old son is piecing blood since last week thursday. He is a rural areas and eventually he was admitted to the nearest hospital for the whole week. But what worries me is that they do not know excatly what is the cause of the sickness and to me they appear as if they are not even sure if this haematuria. They booked him after two months to go x-ray or ultra sound. for the time being how is he going to survive? what can i do help my son

Thank you

Yes, this does sound like haematuria. I am concerned about your son. There are several possible causes for haematuria in children of this age especially in rural areas. These include TB,bilharzia and and illness known as acute nephritis. Your son must be seen by a paediatrician. He should be taken to the nearest hospital that has a paediatric department.
