Q.

Coughing

My newphew had his tonsils/Grommits and adnoids removed on the 26 August 08 and now is coughing terrible and waking up at night and cannot sleep. He has been for x-rays and they say that there is nothing on the chest, so they cannot say what it it. Please anyone if you have any thing that could help.

Paediatrician

Is this question for the paediatrician? Your nephew probably has some continuing post-nasal drip from the area in his nose where his adenoids were removed. Use Salex nose drops twice a day to keep his nose clear.

Perhaps he suffers from allergies or post nasal drip?
My son had the same symptoms and he is on deselex. When the coughing gets too bad at night, I give him nitepax - works fantastic for the coughing, I also use sterimar and if he gets a blocked/runny nose illiadin and acc 200.

Good luck :-)
