Q.

cough - need antibiotic?

My 28 month old started with a cold and cough 6 days ago. The first two days she had a fever, which broke and hasnt returned again. Her nose is still running but is improving, the mucus is only slightly yellowish/greenish and her mood is improving as well so she must be feeling better. The cough is worrying me, however, it sounds very rattly in her chest but she doesnt want to cough. i have been giving her mucospect since friday. how long can i leave a cough like that? or should i get an antibiotic now?

Your little girl is getting better as you mention here yourself. She is coughing to clear the remaining mucous from her chest. The Mucospect will help her to clear out the mucous. She will get completely better by herself by her own immune system and she does not need an antibiotic.
