Q.

Cough in 10 month old

Hi Doc, My LB was hospitalised last year (just before new years eve) for 3 nights with a bad chest infection. He is now being treated for asthma. Singulair, and Flixotide.

Yesterday he started with a cough again. It is not bad at the moment, but I don''t want it to get worse. What can I do to help prevent us going into hospital again.

I am already giving him vitamins (vidalin drops with iron)

It is necessary to find out why your baby boy is getting a chest infection or has a cough during the summer months of the year.He may well have refux problem which is causing his cough and also his recent chest infection. He should be seen by his paediatrician and you should ask if your baby has reflux.
