Q.

cough &  cold medicines safe for 22 month

my daughter is 22 month old.she develops viral and upper respiratory infections frequently every month.She is given decongestants and cough syrups ie Chericoff, etc.on cough cyrups dosage starts from 2 year, then how the doctors are giving before 2 years.are they safe for 22 month old.
what should be given to children below 2 if they have this type of infection.her nasal passage is blocked.she could not sleep as she is taking breathing through mouth.
doctor has given Otrivin pediatric nasal drops .are they safe.

Do not give your little daughter any cough medicines or Otrivin nose drops. Just keep her nose clear by using Salex nose drops twice a day until she is better.
