Q.

Cough

Morning Doc

My son is 13 months old, he seems to have developed a cough that only starts in the morning and it sounds as if he''s choking on his phlegm which is making him cough.
What can be the cause and how do i sort it out.

It is difficult to be sure about your son's cough without being able to examine him. The two most likely causes are either that this is an early sign that he may be getting whooping cough or this may be an early sign of asthma. It would be best to ask your doctor to see your baby in order to make a diagnosis. It is important to start treatment early if he does in fact have either of these conditions.
