My four month old son had a runny nose which now has turned into a cough. It sounds like it has gone to his chest. He does not have a fever and still breastfeeds and sleeps well. I have been treating it with Mucospect and Salex nose drops, but wondered if there is a cough medicine that I can give him?

My other son is 2 years and 9 months and has been diagnosed with Tonsilitis and I think passed on the cough to my younger son.

Is it safe to give my youngest son Flemex?

Thanks for your time.

Flemex is the same medicine as Mucospect. You are treating your baby correctly. As he sleeps well and feeds well there is no need for concern. This is a viral illness and will take about 10 days to clear up.

The last medicine name should be Flemeze.
