Costipation for 8 months baby

Hi Doctor ,

I gave birth to a baby boy last year May,he is all most 8 months old ,my concern is that he has been constipated for almost 5 days ,but he is not crying and his tummy is fine .something to worry about.please advice DR.

5 days is a bit long for your baby not to have passed a stool, but this seems to be the first time that he has gone so long and he appears to be quite happy and well. It would be a good idea just to use one infant glycerine suppository to help him to pass a stool. Hopefully after that he will be fine again. If not let me know and also tell me what formula he is on.

Dr thanks for the advice i used glycerine suppository to help him to pass stool.its works but he still having that constipation .for him to pass a tool i have to use glycerine suppository and i also giving him prune purity and Prune &  pear juice its not working .im breastfeeding ,during the day he is drinking Nan 2 formula.when i come from work after 17:00 pm im breastfeeding .

Try giving him purity prune puree, also cooked pears helps, it really helped my baby who is now nearly 10 months old.
