Good day,

My son is 1yr 3months and in the past couple of weeks he is suffering from constipations. His diet is:

•  Nido
•  Cerelec
•  Sour milk mixed with bread
•  Purity
•  Cooked vegetables (variety)

He’ s being on S26 gold since he was born until 2 or 3 months ago when he refused drinking it, we then changed him onto Nido. He’ s been on cerelec since he was 6months old. Now and then we cook him Oats (maybe once a week), we also cook him veggies on a daily basis. What could be the cause of these complications?

You have given a very good description of your baby son's constipation problem and his diet. This problem seems to have only started quite recently. It is possible that his constipation may be related to changing his formula to Nido. Try him on another growth milk such as Parmalat First Growth milk and see if this helps. His diet seems good but he could do with some fruit every day.
