Q.

constipation on 11 months old baby

my son is 11 months old and had been having a constipation problem ever since he stopped breast milk at 4 months and i''ve taken him to the doctor and he prescribed stool softers and non worked, i gave him pear, prunes (juices and pureed food) water with brown sugar but non worked  I changed formulas from Nan, Infacare and now he is using S26 gold" . please help what can I do or which formula can i use.

Unfortunately it is necessary for you to change your baby's formula again. It is almost certainly the formula that is causing your baby to be so constipated. A better choice would either be Lactogen2 or NAN Pelargon.

Also avoid custard if you do give this, as this may add to the constipation. I know my 8 month old gets constipated after even the Purity custard.
