Q.

constipation in 3 year old

hi there my 3 year old started telling me that her bum doesn' t work then i realised she dropped a few balls and now she is completely battling to go to the toilet at all. I then gave her some duphalac syrup - 10ml. How long will it take before it works and how long should she take it for. what else can i do for her - shame i cannot stand seeing her in pain cause she cant go

You need to give your little girl the Duphalac daily for 10 days to help her properly. It may help her now to first use a single paediatric glycerine suppository . Make sure that she drinks plenty of water and also that she eats lots of fruit and fibre in her diet.
