Q.

constipation and slimy throat

Hi there dokter. My baby is 2 monthes old and is on isomil for 3 weeks now. His dockter sugested we change from lactogen to isomil because of slime in his throat. She said it could be an allergic reaction to the cows milk. But now he is very constipated and uncomfortable. Can you pleas give me some advise? Thank you Lynette

Your baby is constipated because of the soya formula he is on.If you think that he may be allergic to cow's milk try him on a low allergy formula first such as NAN HA. If he cannot tolerate this formula, which is unlikely, then change him to a special formula for highly milk allergic babies such as Similac Alimentum.
