constipation

Baby has constipation after introduction of solids in a 20 week old tetralogy of fallot patient. what can be administered to help relieve the infant?

It is essential that your baby is not constipated so you need to help him/ her as much as you can.Start off by using an infant glycerine suppository just to help your baby to pass any constipated stool that may be troubling him/ her now. Only give rice or maize cereals and make sure that the cereal does not contain milk. Give your baby vegetables and fruit especially apple and pear to eat every day. If he/she is on a formula change the formula to Lactogen2. See if this helps. If not let me know.
