Q.

constipation

my 5 year old daughter have conspitation. she had this problem since she was a baby, she was struggling and sometimes she will go for 2 or more days without relieving herself. the problem is getting worse, now when she is constipated she will have high temperature and become restless. to relive her we have to give her something laxative and this happend three time in a short period. what can i do to assist her

You must make sure that your daughter's diet is correct and that she eats lots of fresh fruit, eats fibre-rich food such as brown bread, weetbix and drinks plenty of water every day. She must not eat cheese.Try her on a course of Duphalac liquid 10ml twice a day. Use the Duphalac twice daily for at least 14 days and see if she improves.
