Q.

Constipation

Dear Doc
My baby daughter is 9 months old and is very constipated. This has been going on for about 3 months now. She''s currently on NAN2. She is also teething at the moment and not even that makes her tummy go. Must I change her formula or should I first try giving her a laxative? Thank you.

It would be worthwhile changing your baby's formula to a casein-rich formula such as Lactogen2. Also make sure that she is getting fruit, vegetables and water in her diet.
