My 6 month old seems to be constipated. She has regular stools, but they are hard. She has started eating solids more frequently and we give her proper cooked food puree''d. She drinks Isomil 2. She has also just recently started Isomil 2, and doesnt really seem to like it very much, but she drinks it. She is not lactose intolerant, we did run the tests, but Nan HA and other Nan''s make her gassy and irritable. She now weighs 8.5kg. She has also now started waking up during the night and battling to fall asleep when it is bed time. She used to drink her milk then fall asleep and we would put her in her cot. Nowadays, she refuses to fall asleep. I had her at the paediatrician on Monday and he put her on Zithromax for her ears. I''m really worried that she doesnt want to sleep anymore or the way she used to.

Your baby is probably constipated because of the soya formula which needs to be changed. She may also be soya intolerant now as she is sleeping poorly. She also appears to have a milk allergy or intolerance despite the negative lactose intolerance test.Your choices are limited and cost is a problem, but try her on Similac Alimentum and see if she does well in this formula.
