My son is 5 months old, I breastfed him for the 1st 3 months and I didn''t have a problem with his system. After 3months I gave him NaN HA and he had diarrhea, I changed to S26 same story and the doctor suggested Isomila (Soya Milk) and now he is always constipated. Even if he poo it is so hard and you can see or hear the sound. The dr suggested a 2.5ml of Olive Oil on 300ml bottle although it is working but until when. Ooh, I also give him 200ml of water and 100 ml of rooibos in between and that is for a day. I am considering on changing the milk and see what is going to happen, what do you think??

Your baby appears to have a problem with digesting milk formula feeds which is probably due to lactose intolerance. He was put onto Isomil which causes him to become very constipated. It would be a good idea to change his formula, but your baby cannot tolerate a cow's milk formula because of his lactose intolerance. He should be changed over to a lactose-free formula such as NAN Lactose Free or S26LF.

Thank you very much for the advise and I''m so happy coz he is regular and normal again I have to force him to take his bottle of water. I also need to know whether can I give him rooibos tea as he is 22wks old. Although he enjoys his milk, he has developed a fine rash on his face and I''ve given him allergex but still.
