hi my baby girl has just turned 1yr, she has been constipating for as long as six months even prescriptions just help while in use, she cant live like this!. any advise on how to stop this, for she depends on these medication to have a normal pooh, she cries even to move bowel, advise please.

You are correct your baby cannot go on like this. You need to find out why she is so constipated that she needs constant treatment. The problem may be due to her formula.As a start try her on Lactogen2 and see if there is any benefit.Give her extra water and some diluted fruit juice to drink. Make sure that she has plenty of fruit in her diet.

She has been and is taking water and she enjoys it, she has been usung lactogen, but the problem is persistant.I shall introducing more fruit in her diet and see what happens.
