Q.

Constipation

HI , my baby is 30 months old, she suffers alot from constipation . Is this common amoung kids. She also complains alot of her tummy being sore and this is not directly realated to her constipation.
Can i include anything in her diet ? She is not much of a cereal kid so i cannot give her a cereal with high fibre.

Constipation is unfortunately very common among young children. Her diet should contain sufficient fluid, fibre and fruit. You seem to be battling with her diet as she does not like cereals. Wholewheat bread contains a good deal of fibre. As she is complaining about tummy ache she may be so constipated that she cannot pass stools properly. For this reason it would be best to have her seen by her paediatrician first.
