Constipated?

Hi, my little girl of nearly three seems to be constipated frequently - she passes stools normally once a day but they are in the form of hard little balls.she doesn''t seem to have any discomfort/pain. She eats well and has lots of fruit and fibre inher diet.is this constipation? What would you suggest? Many thanks

Your daughter's stools fit the description of constipated stools, but as she passes stools every day she is not suffering from constipation despite this. She needs to drink lots of water and drink very little milk, just 2 cups of milk a day max. Review her fibre intake and give her plenty of fruit and vegetables to eat. She should not have any hard cheese in her diet. She can have diluted fruit juice once a day.
