Q.

CONGESTED CHEST

MY SON OF 4 MONTHS HAS A CONGESTED CHEST FOR THE PAST WEEK AND COUGHS A BIT DURING THE DAY AND NIGHT. HE IS ALSO SUFFERING FROM N BLOCKED NOSE WHICH I TREAD WITH SALEX (THEN REMOVING THE MUCOUS WITH A NASAL ASPIRATOR). THE PHLEM ON HIS CHEST IS NOT GETTING BETTER. PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN HELP HIM GET RID OF THE PHLEM ON HIS LUNGS.

Your baby is very young and we need to be very careful about giving him any medication which is not safe for this age group. It sounds as if he has a viral infection of his chest called bronchiolitis. You can use Mucospect Paediatric Syrup 2.5ml 3 times a day to help him to clear the mucous from his lungs.
