Concentration &  memory of 5 year old boys

Hi there
Please can you advise on the appropriate steps to follow regarding my 5 year old son having difficulties in recognising &  writing numbers above 3. Within seconds he forgets a number...but he can write 1 &  2. &  he can count up to 20.... We started him on Kumon classes 1 week ago hoping this would help. Please advise if it' s healthly to try him on any supplements to boast his concentration &  memory?

Many thanks

It is a bit early to be concerned now about your son's concentration at this stage. There does not appear to be a need for you to be too worried about your son now.It is probably best to do the tests on children from the age of 6 years if you remain concerned about him. Give him a supplement such as Eye Q daily. This will help him. In the meantime continue to teach him about numbers and to count beyond 20.
