Common Cold

Hi Professor,

Some more questions for you!

You wrote on a previous post that my 8 month old child''s symptoms sound like a cold caused by a virus. You suggested that I continue using Chamiflor nose spray twice a day and a probiflora for 10 days, as well as Allecet 2.5ml at night. For how long can I use the Allecet for?

He also is very pale and has oozing eyes. Is this all part of an Upper Respiratory Infection? This is the second time this year that he has had these symptoms, is that usual?

My 3 year old goes to creche, could it be that he brought this home? My 8 month old stays at home, so I wondered where this could have been picked up.

Thank you for your time.

To answer your last question first;Your 3 year old son brings the infections home from other children at the creche.Infection of the eyes as well as the upper respiratory tract such as the nose and throat are part of the overall viral infection caused by the cold.Clean your baby's eyes with a dilute salt solution [a quarter teaspoonful of salt in a cupful of boiled and cooled water] Use the Allecet only for as long as her cold lasts.
