Q.

colix drops for reflux

Hi doc.I am using colix drops on my 18mnth boy for reflux in his milk. Is it safe to use on an ongoing basis and is there maybe something else that I can use instead, as the drops are very expensive and it is only for 5ml.

Colix drops are not usually given for reflux. These drops are a natural enzyme [lactase] which helps for young babies with colic or for babies with lactose intolernce. If your toddler is still refluxing [which he may not be at his age], then you can use a medicine to reduce stomach acid such as Losec rather than the Colix drops.
