Childhood Diseases

Hello Professor, would you say it is ok to use " cold"  medicine for a child over two like the Corenza syrup if they have a cold (in addition to keeping the nose clear with saline)? Also my daughter is fine but seems to be suffering from post nasal drip which she tries to clear all the time - the pharmasist suggested acc200 but I was such an idiot i bought the stuff but when i wanted to prepare it i realised that there is no way that a 2 and half year old is going to drink a whole glass of effevecent. I used Rhinex instead but can you mix the acc200 with milk or juice - will it remain effective?

I do not like using either Corenza or Rinex both of which contain pseudoephedrine for young children. Colds are virus infections and will clear up by themselves. Keep your daughter's nose clear with a saline nasal spray twice daily. Your daughter is too young to drink a glass of ACC200. You can give her Mucospect Syrup 5ml twice day to help her to clear the mucous from her upper airway and also her chest.
