Q.

Cold

Hi doc. My son of 6 months has recently developed a cold. His voice is a bit croaky &  his nose is runny. He does not have fever but scratches at the ears as well. In all this he is jolly &  eating well. I given him Alergex syrup. Could this be due to teething? Is there any medication that you can recommend to clear up the cold sypmtoms?

Thanks
Mels

All you need to do is to use Salex nose drops twice a day to clear up his blocked nose and stop the post nasal mucous which is causing him to have a croaky voice. Don't use Allergex, it will make him unhappy and will not help his nose. In any case it is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
