Hi Doc!
Im really worried! With this outbreak in Zim - my step kids will be coming here in Dec and we have a little 8 month old boy in our house! Could this be spread without the 2 older girls having it? (ie - them being carriers). I dont know what to do!
Im really scared that they " infect"  my little boy!
Please advise

Hopefully your step-children will be kept far away from any area where there is a cholera outbreak. Also one hopes that their drinking water is still clean. To be on the safe side all drinking water should be boiled or treated with purifying tablets. They are highly unlikely to be carriers of this illness as cholera is a very severe illness and people with cholera are very ill indeed and they would be in no condition to travel.
