Q.

Clingy 14 month old

My almost 14month old daughter is driving me crazy.... she''s extremely clingy - so much so, I cannot put her down at all. She''s quite happy to go her teacher at day care each day, but from the moment I fetch her, she''s impossible. She screams - tears and all - I have to carry her around constantly - I cannot even sit down! She''s also not sleeping very well. I''m assuming it''s all an ''age related teething stage'' she''s going through? Her appetite is not great either, but she''s certainly not starving! I shouldn''t stress about her, should I?

Thanks so much for your time and assistance on this site - I''m sure I speak for plenty parents - your input is invaluable!! :-)

Thank you, you are very welcome.Your daughter is going through a period of separation anxiety which is very common indeed at her age. It is a passing phase and she needs lots of reassurance now and with time she will become less clingy and her separation anxiety will disappear.
