The wound will heal soon with the treatment and dressing you have been given. If there is any sign of infection or redness and swelling please ask your doctor to see him again.

Cinderella, Congratulations! Hang in there. My son was circumcised at 1 day of age and it also looked as if it was not healing. There was no swelling or redness. The gauze came off after 2 days, I just put vaseline on the cut area and the glans for about 5 days. He was pretty well healed in about 8 days. Just watch it for a few days. It would not hurt to leave his penis exposed for a few hours every day to air it out. That will help with healing too. Good luck, it sure looks and functions better without a foreskin.

My boy was circumcused when he was 9 days old. The doctor told me to only use normal perfume free vaseline with every nappy change. Everything else was done normally. The cap thy used on he's penis fell off after 4 days of circumcision. So try and use just normal Blue seal vaseline.

I hope it helps.
