14 month old grand child has diarrhoea for two weeks - lost 2 kg. Current weight 11.96kg. Does eat and drink well, but has CONSTANT large, watery stools. Stools smelling as if he has gastro. He is vomiting at least once a day - a LARGE volume of liquids. Is feverish off and on. Does not have fatigue. Baby pale after stools or vomiting. cANNOT SEE ANY NEW TOOTH APPEARING.

Your grandchild has severe gastro-enteritis and this has nothing to do with teething. This is a severe infection, possibly a Rotavirus infection. With your grandson vomiting and having constant diarrhoea and with the weight he has lost he is very probably dangerously dehydrated. He must be seen by a doctor today. He will probably require admission to hospital. Please take him to see a doctor now!

Riana, I would seek medical attention urgently. Weightloss is no good sign in such a young child, eventough he is eating and drinking he might have a virus beacuase he has a fever and you don''t want to take chances with that. I believe there is a terrible tummy bug doing it''s rounds.
5 children in my son''s creche has allready been admitted to hospital with this virus.
