Child' s Foreskin

Hi there

I have a 2 year old son. I decided not to have him circumsized for various reasons. When should i start " pulling back"  his foreskin? Should i do anything of the sorts at all.

For now it doesnt bother him at all, and it is not imflamed.

As a little boy, i went for an operation at the age of 7 because my foreskin would not pull back. I obviously dont wish the same for my son.

There is certainly no need to pull your son's foreskin back. Just wash his penis with a soft washcloth with soap when he is in the bath. There is absolutely no indication at all that your son needs a circumcision.

We concur with the Dr. Your son' s foreskin is perfectly normal and will separate when his body is ready to do so. This can occur at any time between the ages of about 2 to 16.

Forcibly retracting the foreskin can cause damage.
