Q.

child complaining about fatigue

My 3 and half year old daugter had terrible flu last week with fever. Taking the last antibiotic tonight. Also given her Demazin to dry the nose. Nose still running after 9 days of Demazin. I struggle a lot to give her vitamins. Bought her Patrick Holfords multi vitamin, no luck. She complains about fatigue. Going to try the Viral Choice with her for the flu. Was also thinking of given her Floradix Liquid Iron Formula? Any suggestions please. Thanks

Many children [and adults ] develop tiredness and fatigue following a viral illness, this is called post viral fatigue. However it is more likely that it is the Demazin that you are giving her that is making her so tired as it contains an old fashioned anti-histamine which is very sedating. Stop the Demazin and she should be a lot happier.Only use Salex nose drops twice daily to clear her nose. No other medicines or supplements are required.
