Your son does not need to see a doctor unless you are concerned about him in any way.It is common for chicken pox to affect the genital area. The old fashioned treatment is still used especially calamine lotion.Do not take him into the sun as this may actually aggravate his rash. If you have not had chicken pox you are at risk of catching it now. If you do your should go onto an antiviral medicine called Aciclovir as chicken pox may be severe in adults.
